21 Days Left for Gift Matching Opportunity

Michael Oh 10 Dec 2013

Michael OhI want the world to look different in 10 years.

These are the words I used in June at my installation in Bangalore. It’s why I said yes to the incredibly challenging calling to lead The Lausanne Movement. It’s also why I’m writing this.

Time is running out for you to double your gift to Lausanne. Whatever you commit by 31 December 2013 to give will be doubled, up to $500,000.

[Editor’s Note: As of 18 December, we have raised $375,829 of our $500,000 goal. Thank you for your generosity, and we look forward to what the Lord will do in the remaining 13 days!]

Your gifts help to convene global consultations on critical issues facing the church today. A consultation on the Gospel and Media was held a few weeks ago, and consultations on Islam and Prosperity Theology, Poverty, and the Gospel will be held in spring 2014.

In 2014 we will also hold International Leadership Meetings in Lausanne, Switzerland, where we will not only celebrate our beginnings in that same city 40 years ago, but also look forward to the next 40 years. This includes a Younger Leaders Gathering in 2015, for which plans are already underway

As Doug Birdsall says, ‘Lausanne is on the move!’ and your gifts help to keep moving us forward in the initiatives above.

You’re already involved with Lausanne through your prayers and participation. But there’s another critical way to be a part of the Lausanne family. If your heart is with Lausanne, I ask you to prayerfully consider financial partnership. There has never been a more opportune time than right now.

Don’t forget—you must make your commitment before midnight on 31 December to have your gifts doubled. Click here to give now. Or send a note indicating your commitment to [email protected] or by mail to:

Thank you so much for your prayerful consideration as a part of The Lausanne Movement.
