Cape Town 2010 (CT2010) will be an eye-opening event that will enable people to hear and see what God is doing all over the world by building His Church, as together we participate in the Great Commission on the local, national and international level.  After 70 years of Communism the church in former USSR has taken all possible opportunities to preach the Gospel, plan new churches and send missionaries, most of whom were from the Ukraine.  At the same time, the Eurasian region needs to be a part of a Global Network of practicing evangelists in all areas of skills and levels of society.

On the 27th of May 2008 senior and executive leaders of various Baptist denominations in Eurasia came together to receive first hand information regarding CT2010 and to make plans to select the National Committee and be ready for first Regional Consultation.  Leaders of different Pentecostal and Charismatic denominations came together on the 29th of May for the same purpose and made an agreement on a date and schedule for the next meeting.  National leaders were also together on the 20th of June to organize the CT2010 National Participant Selection Committee.

I have started working with Russia, the “Stan” countries and other countries of the former Soviet Union, inviting everyone to come to Ukraine for the first regional consultation to be held on the 30-31st October 2008.  The main purpose of consultation is to bring together key leaders from 12 countries of Eurasia.  Secondarily we want to develop and organize a Regional Committee strategic plan of action.  The Regional Committee will be responsible for program development, key speakers and the Eurasian participant list.
