A constant stream of information demands the attention of mission leaders, thinkers and decision makers. Yet, little is available that offers deep analysis of this information and the implications of global and regional events for the spread of the Gospel. It’s our hope that The Lausanne Global Analysis will fill this gap.
A planning team has begun working on the production of the new Lausanne Global Analysis. The Analysis will provide multi-lingual analysis from a global network of regional leaders, researchers and writers. The launch as a monthly publication is tentatively scheduled for September 2012.
The planning team is identifying several hundred analysts, mission leaders and centres around the world who will participate in this project. The focus will be on developing a global analysis of issues facing the church and worldwide evangelisation. Additionally the Lausanne Global Analysis seeks to further The Cape Town Commitment through informing our strategic action.
The editorial team will work with the mission community to refine and develop the concept, including discussion of the name, the scope and nature of Global Analysis articles, and the important question of the languages in which Global Analysis will appear.
Further information and expressions of interest in contributing to the Analysis can be directed to Naomi Frizzell, Lausanne Chief Communications Officer.
Pilot Version
As a first step toward inspiring a vision for all that a Global Analysis might achieve, Todd Johnson and a small team prepared the pilot version that can be accessed below. The pilot sets out a vision, and the final product will reflect the collaborative efforts of a genuinely global community of analysts, researchers and writers.
The launch pilot version has been greeted by an enthusiastic welcome from mission leaders. We pray that you will be encouraged by this pilot document and ask for your prayers as we take the next steps forward for the Lausanne Global Analysis.
