Jim BelcherJim Belcher (M.A., Fuller; Ph.D., Georgetown) is founding church planter and lead pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach, California. He is also the author of Deep Church: A Third Way Beyond Emerging and Traditional and cofounder of the Restoring Community Conference: Integrating Social Interaction, Sacred Space and Beauty in the 21st Century, an annual conference for city officials, planners, builders, and architects.

Doug BirdsallDoug Birdsall was installed as the Lausanne Executive Chairman in 2004 at the Forum on World Evangelization in Pattaya, Thailand. Doug and his wife, Jeanie, have been missionaries with Asian Access since 1980, where Doug was president of the mission from 1991 to 2007.  He is a graduate of Wheaton College, Gordon-Conwell Seminary, Harvard University, and is currently involved in doctoral research at the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies.

She is known for her relational teaching style and inviting people to discover the relevance of God and His Word in a modern world.


Dr. Michael S. Horton
Professor, Westminster Seminary

Dr. Michael S. HortonDr. Michael S. Horton has taught apologetics and theology at Westminster Seminary, California since 1998. He received his doctorate from the University of Coventry and Wycliffe Hall, Oxford. In addition to his work at the Seminary, he is the president of White Horse Media, for which he co-hosts the White Horse Inn, a nationally syndicated, weekly radio talk-show exploring issues of Reformation theology in American Christianity. He is also the editor-in-chief of Modern Reformation magazine. Before coming to WSC, Dr. Horton completed a Research Fellowship at Yale University Divinity School. A member of various societies, including the American Academy of Religion and the Evangelical Theological Society, Dr. Horton is the author/editor of twenty books, including a series of studies in Reformed dogmatics published by Westminster John Knox, whose final volume (People and Place: A Covenant Ecclesiology) was published in 2008.

Dr. Jesse MirandaDr. Jesse Miranda is an international Christian leader with a firm commitment to the Latino church, community and civic engagement.  He is a noted community leader and religious educator with expertise and extensive background in the areas of leadership, social ethics, reconciliation and theological education.

Dr. Miranda has served as President of Alianza de Ministerios Evangelicos Nacionales (AMEN) and as a Professor at Vanguard University and Azusa Pacific University.  Presently, he serves as an Executive Presbyter of the General Council of the Assemblies of God and as CEO of (NHCLC) National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference.

Dr. Miranda has written two books, The Christian Church in Ministry and Liderazgo y Amistad (Leadership and Friendship), co-director of the Hispanic Churches in American Public Life research project, co-editor of Latino Religions and Civic Activism in the United States and contributor to Realidades Hispanas Que Impactan America.


Richard Mouw
President, Fuller Theological Seminary

Richard MouwRichard Mouw is the president of Fuller Theological Seminary. He has been a professor of Christian philosophy and ethics at Fuller and Calvin College. Mouw is the author of Consulting the Faithful, Uncommon Decency, and most recently, The Smell of Sawdust: What Evangelicals Can Learn from Their Fundamentalist Heritage.


Dr. Kara Eckmann Powell

Dr. Kara Eckmann PowellDr. Kara E. Powell is the Executive Director of the Fuller Youth Institute (FYI) and a faculty member at Fuller Theological Seminary. She completed her doctorate in practical theology from Fuller Seminary with a focus on pastoral role expectations in 2000, a Master’s of Divinity from Bethel Theological Seminary in 1994, and a Bachelor of Arts with honors from Stanford University in 1991. In addition to her roles at Fuller Seminary, Kara volunteers in student ministries at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena. She is the author or co-author of a number of books and curriculum guides, including Essential Leadership (formerly released in 2008 as Deep Leadership), Deep Justice Journeys, Deep Justice in a Broken World, Deep Ministry in a Shallow World, Good Sex Youth Ministry Curriculum, Mirror, Mirror, and Help! I’m a Woman in Youth Ministry.
