Lausanne Special Interest Committee: Alliance 2.29

Alliance 2.29 began as the enthusiastic continuation by some members of a working group from the 2004 Forum for World Evangelization in Thailand (Issue Group 24).  The name Alliance 2.29 is based on Joel 2.29, which speaks of God empowering both men and women in ministry. 

Since the Lausanne Covenant, the issue of gender has been included.  Alliance 2.29 seeks to serve LCWE in its efforts to focus on this topic in a way that enlivens both men and women for ministry, promotes strategies for reaching both men and women around the world with the Gospel, and is pleasing to our Lord Jesus Christ.

The whole church…both men and women of all ages

Taking the whole Gospel…that Jesus died for both men and women and in God’s sight both are beautiful and valuable

To the whole world…including men and women in all people groups, ages, and strata of society
