Seven weeks remaining for Forum nominations
The 2004 Forum nomination and application process has been underway for three months since its January 1 launch, receiving online applications from holistic ministry leaders, educators, pastors, missiologists, evangelists, visionaries, network and denominational leaders from every region of the world. As the Church faces fresh challenges in this first phase of the new millennium, the 2004 Forum will be a working consultation, bringing together groups of Church leaders to address twenty-four vital issues facing evangelism. Each issue group will be asked to develop specific pragmatic strategies which will stimulate the Church to action, creating recommendation to the Church that could be collaboratively implemented globally, nationally and locally by evangelical leaders. Broad involvement of the global evangelical community is essential to successful fulfillment of this vision, and the selection process has been structured to bring a balanced participant representation by age, gender, region, ministry experience and perspective. With seven weeks remaining until the May 30th deadline, international ministry leaders are encouraged to visit www.lausanne.org to submit an online application to participate, and to encourage colleagues within their ministry network to submit applications. In cases where geographic location, lack of technology or security sensitivities prohibit online access, international ministry leaders are requested to partner with their two-third world colleagues whenever possible to assist the online submissions. Applications will be reviewed in June 2003, with invitations sent to those who have been selected to participate in July 2003.
