Desiree Segura-April Catalyst for Children at Risk


Desiree Segura-April is currently serving as a missionary with the United Methodist General Board of Global Ministries, working as the resource person for children at risk ministries for the Iglesia Metodista of Nicaragua. She holds a PhD in intercultural studies and has served as an assistant professor of children at risk at Fuller Theological Seminary, as an affiliate online faculty member for Asbury Theological Seminary, and as a children’s pastor. Desiree is married to Dr Osias Segura, who also serves as a Global 
Ministries missionary in Central America. Her most important role, however, is being mother to her son Nikolas.
