In our media-saturated culture, it is astonishing to realize that the incarnation of the Son of God involved no media. Jesus was only ever fully present in the flesh with those he ministered to, choosing not to use even the written word, the media available to him at the time. Evangelism and discipleship today happen in the same way; not through mediated messages, but sent messengers. Yet media can also be very helpful.
