The joint Lausanne Movement and WEA Consultation on Arts in Mission took place 29-31 May 2013 in Dallas, Texas, USA, at the Graduate Institute of Applied Linguistics (GIAL). It was hosted by GIAL and the International Council of Ethnodoxologists (ICE).
Twenty-five key North American leaders in the field of arts and mission from different streams—academia, mission agency, church, artists, network leaders—gathered for a round table to discuss collaboratively the intersection of arts and missions. The discussion was broken into several plenary discussions which focused on: What is the Role of Arts in Missions?; Arts and Mission: Where Have We Been?; Arts and Mission: Where Are We Now?; and Arts and Mission: Where Are We Going?
