Makati City, Metro-Manila, Philippines
Theme: “The Whole Filipino Church for World Evangelization and Transformation”
The three objectives of the Congress are:
- To highlight (and echo) the Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization: Cape Town 2010 and The Cape Town Commitment;
- To challenge Filipino (both in country and in diaspora) church and mission leaders to pray and work together for the evangelization of the world, esp. Asia. The main mission mobilization program is to train and commission 1 million Overseas Filipino Workers to be tentmaker-missionaries wherever they live and work in the world;
- To advance the “whole Gospel” aspect of the “spirit of Lausanne,” particularly to bring about societal transformation through evangelizing and discipling the five strategic sectors from Cape Town 2010: Government, Business, Academe, Media, and Medicine.
