Issue Group 7: Non-Traditional Families

·

The wisdom needed to share the gospel within diverse family structures: single parent families, separated/divorced people, cohabitating couples and those whose family situation has changed.

The expected outcomes of the work done on this issue are:

  1. Provide guidelines as to how to minister to those from non-traditional families who feel marginalised by the church.
  2. Consider the response of local congregations and individual Christians to those hurting from marital readjustment and how the church can minister with compassion to those in their midst who are in personal pain and so reach them with the gospel.
