Preparations for the 2016 Lausanne Younger Leaders Gathering (YLG2016) are well underway. YLG2016, to be held from 3-10 August 2016 in Indonesia, is a gathering of 1,000 younger leaders from over 160 countries who will connect, pray, and discern together God’s leading of their generation for his global mission.
We are seeking spiritually mature volunteers from around the world to serve at the gathering and help in all aspects of the work. Volunteers play an important role in the gathering by volunteering their time, talents, and abilities. Volunteer duties include assisting the staff with administration support, hospitality, audio/visual support, and interpretation, among other areas.
YLG2016 offers an unprecedented opportunity to interact with mission-minded followers of Christ from more than 160 nations. We believe the friendships developed, and the opportunity to pray, serve, and learn with other passionate believers will significantly enrich the lives and ministries of volunteers.
Volunteers may also be able to participate in aspects of the overall gathering, such as sharing in rich times of prayer and worship and hearing compelling reports of what God is doing around the world.
Volunteer Requirements
- Full participation in the entire YLG2016 and volunteer orientation. The gathering will begin on the evening of 3 August and end on the evening of 10 August. Volunteers will need to arrive on 1 August in order to take part in the volunteer orientation on 2 August.
- Affirmation of The Lausanne Covenant and The Cape Town Commitment.
- Comfortable communicating in spoken and written English.
- Responsibility for all costs for participation in YLG2016. This includes an $895 USD registration cost (covers accommodation, meals, and local transportation) as well as the costs for airfare to/from Jakarta.
