A ten-year commitment to journey with younger leaders for global mission

Over 1,000 younger leaders and mentors from more than 140 countries gathered in Indonesia for the 2016 Lausanne Younger Leaders Gathering (YLG).

Ninety percent of YLG participants have accepted the invitation to continue as part of the Lausanne Younger Leaders Generation (YLGen), a ten-year commitment to journey with participants as they continue to mature as Christ-like leaders for global mission.

We have been greatly encouraged by the enthusiastic responses of both mentors and younger leaders to be part of YLGen. The YLG experience only confirmed how important intergenerational relationships and connections are, both personally and for global mission.

Participants in YLGen have been been given five invitations—to be mentored, to be part of a global connect group, to be connected to Lausanne issue networks and regional activities, and to engage with rich missional resources.

YLGen is Lausanne’s most intentional means to date of continuing the momentum and furthering the impact of a major gathering like YLG.
